Anyone! We are looking for varied participants to take part in our research. You don’t have to be a Twilio customer to sign up. All we ask is that you are over the age of 18.

Once you sign up you will be in our participant pool. When studies come up, we will cross check the participant needs of the study with the information you provided. If you meet the criteria we will be in touch with you. This will help ensure you are only contacted for studies which we believe will best fit your background and skillset. We ask that you fill out the sign up form fully so that we can best match you to our research.

Researchers are looking for specific demographic criteria and specific screener survey answers, it's unlikely that every study will be a fit for everyone. Based on our data, we will contact you 3-4 times within 6 months.

It can be some time before you are selected for your first study. But don't be discouraged! There are many ways to set yourself up for success. Here are a few tips:

- Make sure you fill the entirety of the opt-in form. This will help us best match you to a study.

- Make sure your profile information is up to date, especially your job title.

- If you've moved to a new city, be sure to update your location.

- And,  most importantly,   always be truthful in your responses. You'll risk being flagged or suspended from future studies if we find profile or questionnaire responses have been falsified in any way.

- If your information has changed please click here  to opt-in with your new details.

Your details will only be used for research purposes only. We do not sell your personal information, or the personal information of your end users. We also do not allow any personal information to be used by third parties for their own marketing purposes (except in cases where you explicitly request or provide consent for us to do so, such as at a conference when you direct us to share your information with a sponsor).You can always opt out of our participant pool once you have signed up.

Depending on the study you match up with you could be taking part in a short survey, an interview or usability test. Or you could be doing all three. When we reach out to you we will let you know what you can expect to be doing.

You will receive an email with the subject line “Thank you for your time with us - here is your gift card.'' This will have an eGiftcard link to a variety of merchants or a pre-paid Visa card based on your location. Please allow up to 10 working days after you participate in your research to receive your gift. If you still have not received an email with your incentive after 10 days, please check your spam inbox.

By signing up for research studies, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in our Customer Research and User Experience Acknowledgement and Waiver. This enables us to use your feedback for internal purposes and is for the mutual protection of you and Twilio.
