Michael Yap, a Twilio developer, created this video demo explaining how to combine Twilio and Joget. Joget is a business process tool, and you can read more about it on Michael’s blog.

How did you hear about Twilio?

I actually read a post from Fred Wilson’s blog about a demo John Britton did in NYC. It was fun, it was personable and certainly very engaging, so I popped by and took a look at what it had to offer. The geek in me was screaming in my ear to give it a try by then; altho that might also have been the heavy metal radio station I accidentally tuned into.

What was your motivation to build your app?

In my case it was really the Twilio plugins. I actually come from an engineering background and have always been appreciative of good technology. I started as most geeks do just tinkering around, but it became very quickly apparent to me how useful it would be in the broadest sense of the word. In the context of Joget anyway, just dragging a box around in your browser will enable *any* application you build the access to full telephony services. Now that’s just cool.

Are you planning to use this app in day-to-day business?

Well the plugins will be publicly available for sure. In Joget we build awesome tools so everyone can build awesome applications. I guess in our case I’m kinda hoping that now, everyone else can use it in their day-to-day business.

What advice do you have for other developers starting out with Twilio?

Its fairly straightforward really. Just watch your cases and you’ll have a blast. The Twilio support guys are quick with their responses also. I believe I still owe John Sheehan a drink…
