Voice Insights –Introduction of Short Call tags and filters in Console and API (Public Beta)
The Voice Insights Call Summary API call tags now include a new tag pstn_short_duration to identify short calls (outbound calls less than 10 seconds to PSTN destinations). Additionally, we have introduced a short call filter, PSTN Short Duration, in the Voice Insights Console Dashboard.
Significance
Downstream carriers closely monitor short calls, often tagging phone numbers associated with such calls as low trust. This can result in calls being flagged as potential spam or even being blocked, preventing them from reaching their intended recipients. It is crucial for our customers to have visibility into this behavior to proactively adjust their outbound calling practices.
Availability of the PSTN Short Duration filter in Console
The PSTN Short Duration filter will be available to all Voice Insights customers during the Public Beta duration. Starting with General Availability, this filter in Console will be limited to Voice Insights Advanced Features customers.
