Twilio Voice Google Dialogflow ES Integration Will End of Life on May 27 2024

Migrate Dialogflow ES bots to Dialogflow CX <Virtual Agents> for continued integration through Twilio, take advantage of CX's new features.

Effective May 27, 2024, Twilio will End of Life (EOL) our support for Google Dialogflow ES. We’ll replace this product with our one-click/Studio and TwiML integrations with Dialogflow CX

We’re EOL-ing Dialogflow ES because CX is much easier to use and build with, and supports features that ES doesn’t (like Barge and multiple Webhooks, DTMF, etc.).

What do you need to do?

To avoid service interruptions, you need to do two things before May 27, 2024:

  1. Migrate from Dialogflow ES to CX using Google’s ES to CX Migration guide. NOTE:  We recommend you test migration with non-production traffic before migrating product traffic.

  2. Connect the migrated-to-CX bot to your Twilio account using the documented procedures  in our CX onboarding guide.

Additionally, you can view the updated pricing for Dialogflow CX usage.

What if you don’t take action?

If you don’t migrate from Dialogflow ES to CX before May 27, 2024, call flows connected to ES bots via Twilio will no longer work and you’ll experience traffic interruptions.
