Twilio Changelog | Mar. 10, 2025

Support for UTF-8 Email Addresses

Twilio SendGrid now supports UTF-8 characters in sender and recipient email addresses. UTF-8 character support means senders will have broader access to operate internationally by contacting and sending in all major global languages.

There are no configuration changes necessary. Emails with UTF-8 characters in the addresses will now be processed like any other email. UTF-8 Characters in email bodies, subject lines, headers and footers were already supported.
