Twilio's new Porting APIs, now available in Public Beta, simplify the process of bringing your Voice and Messaging services from your current carrier to Twilio. Designed to streamline the US local number porting experience, these APIs automate key steps, reducing the time and effort required to complete ports.
Key Features
Number Portability API: Instantly check if a number can be ported to Twilio, view reasons for ineligibility, and access next steps.
Port In API: Automate single or bulk port requests for up to 1,000 numbers with a single, digitally signed Letter of Authorization (LOA).
Webhooks API: Receive real-time updates on porting status, keeping you informed at every stage.
These APIs also lay the groundwork for expanding automated porting options to additional number types and countries, with full integration in Twilio’s Console.
