Twilio SIP Products Interface TLS 1.0/1.1 End of Life, Effective May 5, 2025
Starting May 5, 2025, Twilio will officially end support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols on Elastic SIP Trunking and Programmable Voice SIP interfaces.
Starting May 5, 2025, Twilio will officially end support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols on Elastic SIP Trunking and Programmable Voice SIP interfaces. As part of Twilio's commitment to security, this change aligns with industry standards to prevent vulnerabilities associated with older TLS protocols. To avoid disruptions, customers using TLS 1.0 or 1.1 for SIP connections with Twilio should refer to their SIP vendor’s documentation to update to TLS 1.2 or higher by May 5, 2025. Connections over TLS 1.0 or 1.1 after this date will fail, leading to potential call setup issues. To ensure continued connectivity and avoid disruptions, customers should do two things before May 5, 2025:
