SIGNAL Speakers Give You The TL;DR Of Their Talks
Time to read: 2 minutes
You want to walk out of a conference with more than just a lanyard. The talks at SIGNAL will help you hone your craft with relevant, substantive material. (psst…grab your ticket here)
For example, it’s important to learn about telephony APIs and reading/writing data in real time. It’s just more fun in the context of Super Mario Bros.
At SIGNAL, Andy Reitano will show you how to cause chaos in Super Mario Bros via text, as a poor soul tries to play the game. Change a land level to a water level. Change it back when Mario is swimming over a pit. State synchronization has never been more satisfying.
Also, an 8th grader who taught himself to fly drones via text at the age of 12 will explain why he digs building A.I bots so much.
Lauren Leto built Bat Phone i.e. a service that lets you turn off your phone when you get home, while still ensuring you get that text alerting you your food is being delivered. She’ll unlock that magic for you.
Alan Shreve, the founder of ngrok, will explain why he is championing grpc and show you how to use it.
There are a ton of speakers with incredible content lined up. I could tell you about it, but I figured it’d be best to hear it from them.
