We’re going to be on Startup Buses through the nation this week on our way to SXSW, so we figured, why not have a Twilio contest related to being on the go? Use Twilio to help you when you’re on the move and I you could win yourself an Amazon Kindle 3G, $100 in Twilio credit, and a sweet Twilio shirt and track jacket.

What’s This Developer Contest All About?

Each week we announce a new category to encourage developers to try Twilio for different use cases, industries, and integrations.  As a language-agnostic platform for cloud communications, we want to see developers from all backgrounds find success and solve problems with Twilio.  To fire your imagination and reward your efforts, we’ve run this developer contest for over a year.

Meet our Amabassadors

Last week we held a developer contest to find ambassadors for the Cleveland and Miami buses, and we just added David Cascino from Knewton to ride the Silicon Valley bus. If you see them around, be sure to say hi!

Chad Smith (Miami bus)

Chad created Conference Tag, a site where people can set up conferences, and then send the information out through a 2D barcode. There’s no need for the participants to remember which number to dial, nor access code to punch in—they just scan the barcode and they’re connected to the call.

Mark Brenneman (Cleveland bus)

Mark created TextMob, an easy way for groups to communicate through SMS groups. I’m sure it’ll come in handy for all you folks trying to coordinate at SXSW. Along with TextMob, Mark has created a variety of Twilio apps including a smart voicemail system and an SMS buzzer system for his house.

David Cascino (Silicon Valley bus)

David’s a developer at Knewton, you might know them from their popular Twilio apps: the SMS controlled door lock, the zombie notification system, and text-based GMAT quiz. David loves adaptive sunglasses and hacking together adaptive sunglasses.
