What’s in Store for January 2010
Enterprise Mashup Summit – Jan. 15th
Could 2010 be the year of the enterprise mashup? If so, it would be a great thing for Twilio developers looking to make an impact with business solutions built on cloud communications. Presentations and panels at this event will focus on the future of mashups in the enterprise, and we’re looking forward to hearing about how various companies are approachin this emerging trend. Register to attend, we’d love to see you there!
The Cloud Communications Summit, organized by Thomas Howe of Light & Electric, will address a growing need of
businesses to integrate and leverage cloud based communications
applications, process enhancement techniques, and network based
communications interfaces and architectures.
Hear Twilio CTO Evan Cooke discuss Cloud Communications in the Enterprise at 12 noon with Troy Davis and Dan York, moderated by Thomas Howe.
StartupCamp Telephony @ ITEXPO East – Jan. 21st
When Larry Lisser asked us to get involved with StartupCamp Telephony, we were excited to help bring the first event of its kind to ITEXPO. As ITEXPO West attendees a few months ago, we noticed an absence of representation from the innovative web companies using cloud communications, and the platforms they use, like Twilio. This event places the focus squarely on 5 startups, who will be selected from a list of applicants.
IMPORTANT: If your start-up uses a cloud communications platform like Twilio, or other web telephony features, you are eligible to present. If your company is selected to present and you are using Twilio, we will pay to fly you to Miami Beach and put you up so that you can present. Submit now!
Wordcamp Boston – Jan. 23rd
Wordcamp is an “unconference”, or a relatively unstructured period of time set aside for WordPress users can get together to discuss topics that are important to them. From developers building plugins and widgets, to designers writing themes, to content producers looking for the newest features and productivity hacks – its all at Wordcamp.
This is event is being held at Microsoft Research in Boston, and we’ll be there to talk about exciting ways to integrate cloud communications with blogging.
Girls in Tech: Catalyst Conference – Jan. 26th
This is the inaugural event for the Catalyst Conference, hosted by Girls in Tech. The event will bring together female technologists, analysts, and market makers from the Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and beyond.
Twilio will be there to make sure these talented ladies have heard about the innovation made possible by our dead simple platform, and our own Danielle Morrill will be there looking for opportunities to support and promote businesses. Register to attend to take advantage of discounted pricing, and female founders don’t forget to enter the pitch competition.
Twiistup 007 – Jan. 28th
We’re heading toward warmer weather for a couple day to meet with developers in the Los Angeles area and check out on of the hottest tech events in the SoCal tech scene.
Speakers include Paul Graham (Founder of Y-Combinator), Om Malik, Robert Scoble, and more. If you have a startup to present, you can apply to be a show off and pitch your company to the audience.
Know of a great conference, summit, event, or user group where you think we’d be able to add value or learn from the community? We’re always looking for opportunities to participate and connect with people who are passionate about building the disruptive technologies of the future. Feel free to email us at help@twilio.com with any suggestions, or requests for speaking engagements. Thank you!
