Erez Marom and Idan Kadosh’s success running a locksmith business led them to found a field service management & communication software company, Send A Job. It’s an unlikely career arc that Erez and Idan themselves  couldn’t have predicted. The knowledge they  gained from years of being out in the field helped them  craft software that makes life easier for companies, customers, and contractors alike. And it all started with a phone call…well a few phone calls.

There were days when Erez and Idan only received ten or so calls from customers in need of a locksmith. That quickly escalated to 100’s of calls a day. They  needed software to manage call tracking, recording, scheduling, and SMS marketing. There was no one company that could give them  what they  wanted, so they  pieced it together.

Six Vendors, Thousands of Dollars and No Solution

“It was $35,000 to get what we needed,” recalls Erez. “Set up was an additional fee, and then we were paying $2,000 a month while dealing with 6 different companies. It was a separate company for call recording, another one for the software CRM and it never worked right.” It wasn’t uncommon for Erez’s providers to make him wait anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks to get a phone number for one of his contractors. To solve the problems that plagued him, and the field service industry, Erez and Idan founded a field service management and communications solution company, and built a Twilio-powered platform specifically for businesses like his – Send A Job.

The Glue Of The Customer and Company Experience

Think of Send A Job as the communications glue that connects contractors to clients, and companies to contractors. Each party has a different need. The client wants a contractor to their house as fast as possible. The contractor wants an easy to manage his client list. The company wants to be able to ensure quality customer service, and compliance. Send A Job solves all those problems in one shot.

Clients can get real time SMS updates on when their contractor will be at their house. Contractors can safely answer calls using phone number masking powered by Twilio. The company can programmatically search for and monitor recorded calls to ensure the contractor is delivering an excellent experience to the customer.

A lot has changed since the time when Erez and Idan only managed 10 calls daily. Now Send A Job’s customers log over 1 million SMS a month, and 500,00 calls, all on the Twilio platform. But, they aren’t worried about scale. They finally built the software They needed.
