10 Reasons to Attend SIGNAL 2022
Time to read: 4 minutes
SIGNAL, Twilio’s biggest event of the year for customers and developers, is coming up next week! You won’t want to miss a single session, guest speaker, Superclass session, or product deep dive.
There is so much to unpack this year as Twilio dives into how its products can level up customer engagement and help you build a durable business. We’ve rounded up ten of the most exciting parts of SIGNAL this year to make it easy for you to build the perfect agenda.
10. SIGNAL is completely free and virtual in 2022!
Your free ticket gives you access to every single SIGNAL perk. When you sign in virtually on November 2 and 3, you will have access to live Q&A with product experts, two keynote sessions, and every guest speaker we have to offer this year.
Check out this video preview of the digital event experience:
9. 20+ hours of customer stories, product deep dives, hands-on learning, and more for you to enjoy – live or on demand
SIGNAL attendees not only get to access sessions live on event day, but also on demand on the platform. So, if you had to choose between Does my cat have COVID (yes, that’s a session this year!) and Developing customer experience as a brand asset, never fear! Watch one session live and enjoy the other at a time that works best for you.
8. Superclass for all!
This immersive training designed for developers of all skill levels is free for everyone this year. Together we’ll explore the ever-expanding Twilioverse through hands-on training.
Superclass is our live training event for developers new to Twilio and this year Day 1 content will focus on the traditional Superclass audience.
Superclass 2022 is part of the free ticket.
7. Connections and watch parties around the world
The beauty of a virtual event? You’ll be joining 30,000+ innovators and 100+ Twilio experts around the world, all from the comfort of your own (home) office.
If you feel like stepping out and stepping up your SIGNAL experience, there are watch parties featuring food, drinks, and special entertainment, and recap sessions happening around the world. Locations include Berlin, Bogota, London, and Japan.
6. Heroes of the Lost Beacon benefitting IFRC
Twilioville needs a Hero to save SIGNAL. Will you rise to the challenge or succumb to the mysterious band of disruptors? In this all-new adventure, you can choose your own path, solve puzzles and bonus challenges, and claim your custom Hero Card.
Every player helps us get closer to our donation goal for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the world’s largest humanitarian network, with a network of 192-member National Societies and over 15 million volunteers. Annually, IFRC reaches hundreds of millions of people with life-saving assistance in crisis response and preparedness, health, water and sanitation, shelter, and support to those who have been forced to flee their homes.
5. Live booth Q&A
Engage with your live host(s) either via the live chat or by joining the queue to come on screen. Ask questions about the featured products or anything about Twilio in general, just like you would in person! Hosts will talk to you live and follow up using Twilio Flex, ensuring that you get the answers you need.
4. Spotlight sessions on customer engagement
This year’s spotlight sessions illuminate how Twilio helps you optimize your customer engagement ecosystem. In The virtuous cycle of customer engagement, Twilio marketing and engineering experts illustrate how you can use Twilio solutions to drive greater customer lifetime value. 3 ingredients for marketers to unlock efficient growth—from acquisition to retention highlights the importance of using Segment for real-time data activation.
3. TWO keynotes are better than ONE
This year, you’ll hear from Twilio Co-Founder and CEO Jeff Lawson, as well as special guests and customer speakers, in the vision keynote on how companies are adapting to the current environment by reducing acquisition costs and building a loyal, happy customer base. In a second, developer-focused technical keynote, we’ll explore Twilio Engage and Segment, with code-driven demos that demonstrate how you can expand your influence, decrease your toil, and increase your impact as a developer.
2. One of the most accomplished and inspiring women in the history of sports, Venus Williams
With 7 Grand Slam titles, 5 Wimbledon championships, and 4 Olympic gold medals, tennis champion Venus Williams is one of the most accomplished and inspiring women in the history of sports. Venus Williams’ work as an entrepreneur in the health, beauty, and wellness space, along with her steadfast advocacy work for equality make her a force on and off the court.
And this year at SIGNAL, we are sharing a special conversation between Venus and Lybra Clemons, Twilio’s Chief Diversity Officer! They'll unpack what it means to succeed and persevere through times of uncertainty, and why we have a responsibility to advocate for equitable policies that benefit marginalized communities.
1. The Clooneys – Amal and her husband!
George and Amal Clooney are known as one of the world’s most beloved power couples, and they are joining SIGNAL this year to talk about community, success, and their individual and joint humanitarian efforts with Twilio’s Chief Operating Officer, Khozema Shipchandler.
George Clooney has one of the most successful film careers of our generation as an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. Amal Clooney is a leading human rights lawyer and professor of law with decades of experience defending victims of injustice around the world. They are both known for their humanitarian efforts, individually and together, through their organization, the Clooney Foundation for Justice. They founded this organization because they believe in creating a world where human rights are protected and no one is above the law. The Clooney Foundation for Justice advocates for the rights of imprisoned journalists, the LGBTQ+ community, women, minorities, and human rights defenders.
