Twilio SendGrid is migrating all customers that have purchased email delivery through our Developer Services Marketplace to our new integration in the SaaS Marketplace.
This migration is being completed during the month of August in partnership with Microsoft Azure and will not require any work from customers.
No action is required unless you have not set up 2FA.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for this migration?
Twilio SendGrid and Microsoft are partnering to migrate your account. No work should be needed from your account team.
Is my SendGrid plan going to change?
As part of this migration, Twilio SendGrid is updating our Free offering available to Microsoft Azure customers. Your account will automatically be migrated to our new Free offering available everywhere that allows for 100 emails/day forever. There are no immediate updates to existing paid plans.
Why are you requiring API Keys and 2FA? Is this change part of the migration?
This is an effort to enhance security for all of our users. Using your account username and password for authentication is less secure than using an API Key. Unlike your username and password, API Keys are uniquely generated and can be set to limit the access and specify permissions for a given request.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a way of increasing account security by requiring authentication beyond username and password when logging in. Two-factor authentication helps prevent unauthorized access even if your password is stolen or hacked.
What additional features or functionality come with this new SaaS listing?
Why is this migration happening?
Microsoft Azure is deprecating the Developer Services Marketplace. To continue to serve Azure customers, Twilio SendGrid is deploying a new integration in the SaaS Marketplace. Twilio SendGrid is migrating all existing customers to the new integration to ensure email delivery is not broken.
What improvements are made through this migration?
Twilio SendGrid's SaaS Marketplace integration uses V3 endpoints and will enable our teams to roll out product enhancements moving forward. No additional functionality will be available through this integration at this time.
Who is affected by this migration?
All Twilio SendGrid customers that have purchased email delivery through the Developer Services Marketplace.
