The Event Type status describes how you can use the Event Type. The following table describes all statuses.

Most Event Types are available. Available Event Types can be used to create new subscriptions, as well as be added to existing subscriptions.
Subscriptions to available Event Types receive events from Twilio.
Deprecated Event Types will become restricted or discontinued in the near future. However, you can use it normally in both existing and new subscriptions until that happens.
When an Event Type is deprecated, look for the corresponding Twilio changelog entry to learn more about what is changing, when will the Event Types be restricted or discontinued, as well as what are the alternatives.
When you use a deprecated Event Type, a warning appears in the Twilio console.
Subscriptions using deprecated Event Types receive events from Twilio.
Restricted Event Types will become discontinued in the near future. You can continue to use restricted Event Types in existing subscriptions. However, you cannot use it to create new subscriptions or add it to existing subscriptions.
When an Event Type is restricted, you should look for the documentation of that Event Type to learn more about what is changing, when will it be discontinued, as well as what are the alternatives.

Subscriptions using discontinued Event Types may not receive further events from Twilio. You will continue to receive events normally from any other Event Types in the subscription which are not discontinued.
